We are always looking for contributors to Cybersecurity Magazine. Do you work in the cybersecurity industry and have an interesting topic to discuss? Ian Oliver
Dr Ian Oliver is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Bell Labs working on Trusted and High- integrity Cyber Security applied to 5/6G telecommunications, Edge and IoT devices with particular emphasis on the safety-critical domains, such as future railway and medical systems. He holds a visiting position at Aalto University Neurobiology Dept working on cyber security and medical application as well as lecturing on the subject of medical device cybersecurity. He is the author of the book “Privacy Engineering: A data flow and ontological approach” and holds over 200 patents and academic papers.
Idan Aharoni
Idan Aharoni is the Co-Founder & CEO of threat intelligence provider IntelFinder (intelfinder.io). He is a cyber security and intelligence
veteran, with over 15 years of experience developing and managing cyber intelligence operations. In 2019, Idan received a “Legends of Fraud” award for his role in creating one of the world’s first fraud intelligence services, which monitored the Dark Web on behalf of financial institutions worldwide, as part of his work as Head of Cyber Intelligence at RSA Security.

Jake joined Volition in 2020 and is responsible for sourcing and providing due diligence on new investment opportunities within growth-stage software and tech-enabled service businesses. Prior to joining Volition, Jake was an investment banking analyst at Cowen and Company, where he worked in Capital Markets, covering technology, healthcare, and SPACs. Jake received his B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Bowdoin College, where he was a Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar.

Jamal Elemellas is Chief Operating Officer at Focus on Security, the cyber security recruitment agency, where he is responsible for delivering an effective and efficient selection and recruitment service. He has specific expertise in and is adept at designing and delivering secure, scalable and functional ICT services. Jamal has over 19 years’ experience in the field and is an ex CLAS consultant, Cisco and Checkpoint certified practitioner.
